The Primer overflows?!

What ifsss the Primer floods? A flood of highly motivated sportspeople is great, but water... That's not so good.

For this story I will take you back to last summer. We did a switch from Primer 1.0 to 2.0 the full story about that you can read here!

That there are water problems in Hall 5 when it rains is known by almost everyone who comes there regularly. The difficulty lies mainly in the impossibility of estimating where and how much. The problem at Hal5 is that the roof tiles are loose on the roof and depending on how the wind and rain is blowing or falling water will seep in at other places. Pretty challenging in other words!

Fortunately, fortunately, fortunately we already got a warning on an infamous Saturday afternoon. You know the kind, one of those heavy summer showers that lasted quite a long time and were especially VERY heavy. It was immediately clear, get some pots, because it was raining in many places. The hall was full a little later and everyone could continue training. There was, of course, a bigger problem....

That night they were predicting some pretty extreme rain sometime in the middle of the night, I knew what that meant Keeping watch in the Primer and saving everything for the rain. For our move to the 2.0 we got a beautiful Moroccan bed from Kokomo Atelier on which I put another mat on top with pillow and sleeping bag.

The team stayed to chill for a while and then went to make a small party in Leuven (small parties we are like that), while I was ready to save the Primer! Around 3:32 that night I woke up to extremely hard rain on the roof of Hal5, ideally, this is what I had stayed for.

It took me a while to figure out where I was, but quickly figured out what the situation was, lights on, dynamic walking around and waiting for the first leak. 3, 2, 1 LEEEET'S GO, there it was: bucket underneath. A few more, then shuffle around and put buckets in again. This went on for a while until I had a drink break and about all the leaks were covered. It stopped raining, so I went back to sleep and around 5 am it was the same story. A few jars I had to move around and one more popped up here and there.

In the end the Primer completely saved and no less than 32 buckets to catch all the leaks, NO JOKE! Long story short, another neige experience and especially very content that it actually only rained 1 day and night so hard during that period.
